Class VI eligibility at a glance
Projected for AISSEE 2027 from the 10–12 years rule; final bulletin and school list will prevail.
For the 40% route, eligible AISSEE candidates may apply. For the 60% route, the child must also be studying in the same approved New Sainik School and pass Class V.
Girls are eligible, but applicants must check whether the selected approved school has gender-specific admission rules.
Check the individual partner school’s location, day/boarding model, affiliation, fee and local admission policy.
Other essential admission conditions
Approved New Sainik Schools are a separate partnership-mode vertical. They are not the same as the existing Sainik Schools.
Meeting age and class conditions makes a student eligible to apply; it does not guarantee admission. Final selection depends on the entrance examination, applicable reservation, vacancies, counselling or interview, medical fitness and document verification.
